Taste and See That the Lord Is Good
Of David, when he changed his behavior before Abimelech, so that he drove him out, and he went away.
34:1 I will bless the Lord at all times;his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul makes its boast in the Lord;let the humble hear and be glad.
3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me,and let us exalt his name together!
4 I sought the Lord, and he answered meand delivered me from all my fears.
5 Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard himand saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the Lord encampsaround those who fear him, and delivers them.
8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!
9 Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack!
10 The young lions suffer want and hunger;but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
11 Come, O children, listen to me;I will teach you the fear of the Lord
.12 What man is there who desires lifeand loves many days, that he may see good?
13 Keep your tongue from eviland your lips from speaking deceit.
14 Turn away from evil and do good;seek peace and pursue it.
15 The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteousand his ears toward their cry.
16 The face of the Lord is against those who do evil,to cut off the memory of them from the earth.
17 When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hearsand delivers them out of all their troubles.
18 The Lord is near to the brokenheartedand saves the crushed in spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.
20 He keeps all his bones;not one of them is broken.
21 Affliction will slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned.
22 The Lord redeems the life of his servants;none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.
The verses that i highlighted are verses that really spoke to me.
Actually, verse 8 is very special to me because its a verse that i dont remember memorizing but in a hard time God totally laid that verse upon my heart. It is really amazing how God ALWAYS does that. He really will never leave you or forsake you :)
Looking at verse 19, it starts saying, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous..". Its true! As Christians, we suffer many more trials then a non believer does. BUT we have the Lord to draw near to! Verse 19 ends with, "..but the Lord delivers him out of them all!" He will! He'll never give us more then we can handle.
psalm 46:
1 God is our refuge and strength,a very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah
10 “Be still, and know that I am God.I will be exalted among the nations,I will be exalted in the earth!”
11 The Lord of hosts is with us;the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
Alot of the time, when I find myself going through something really hard, I find myself trying to fix the problem myself and running away from the Lords will and plan.
That is the worse thing you can do!!!! WE CANNOT FIX ANYTHING ON OUR OWN! God always has to remind me to be still and know that He is God! I honestly struggle with that. Sometimes its so hard to just sit and wait. God wants us to be able to have enough trust in him that we are able to be still.
Revelation 3:8 says “‘I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name"
In hard times, dont runaway from God, cling to him!
Let go and let God!

interesting event of the day
Awkward family events.
Everyone has had them; and if not it's bound to happen sooner or later.
So today i met one of my aunts and my cousin. She was the type of gal that hugs you until you cant breathe, squeezes your cheeks and reeks of old woman's perfume. Interesting. The amusing thing is that i like towered over her(like i do with most people) yet she was talking to me like i was a cute little 5 year old haha.
Oh, and I was forced to hug my cousin. Not that i didnt want to.... it's just kinda weird hugging someone i've never met before; well at least to me it is.
To top it all off, when they came i had no idea they were coming; so i was in pajamas, makeup-less and my hair was pretty jacked up. Great impression i must have left on them haha.
I guess they decided to randomly come down from arkansas, where they live, and visit us.
Hmm...
Well that was nice :)

How long, O Lord?
Psalm 13:
How Long, O Lord?
To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David.
1How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?
2 How long must I take counsel in my soul and have sorrow in my heart all the day?How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?
3 Consider and answer me, O Lord my God;light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death,
4 lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed over him,”lest my foes rejoice because I am shaken.
5 But I have trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
6 I will sing to the Lord, because he has dealt bountifully with me.

This chapter has been helping me so much lately with my life. my lovely friend Cosette sent me this chapter through a text to read and once i did i automatically fell in love with it.you know that feeling ya get when you read something and you're like "man that's exactly what i needed!" ? yup, that's what i'm feelin. Thank you Lord :) everyone needs a reminder every now and the that the Lord hears ya, even when you think Hes stopped listening. And He will deliver you in his perfect timing. Bless Hm through it and bless Him after it.
Simply amazing.
